Atlantic Surgical Group is a multi-specialty group made up of general, laparoscopic, colorectal, and oncologic surgeons. The Group was formed when Dr. Aron Gornish joined Drs. David Averbach and Mark Schwartz in practice in 1990 in their office in
Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Glenn Parker added Colorectal skills to the group in 1992. Dr. Thomas Lake then joined the group as a second colorectal surgeon in 2002. ASG is now capable of handling all aspects of general, colorectal, cancer, and breast surgery.
Atlantic Surgical Group is the premier surgical group in Monmouth and Ocean Counties servicing Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, and Ocean Medical Center. Appointments can usually be scheduled within 1 week, and emergencies are seen within hours either in the office or a hospital emergency room. Our large, well trained staff is noted for their courtesy and efficiency. A highly trained nurse practitioner is available for consultation and support.
